Shovel Knight: Pocket Dungeon coming this holiday
Shovel Knight: Pocket Dungeon, the spin-off of the independent platformer from Yacht Club, arrives this holiday season. The studio shared the release window as part of Nintendo’s Indie World, with more details.
On Switch, Pocket Dungeon will get an exclusive feature that works with the Shovel Knight Amiibo. You can use it to summon a “familiar fairy friend” – possibly Madame Meeber, the fairy mate who was summoned with an Amiibo in all four campaigns of Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove.
Unlike the original Shovel Knight, Pocket Dungeon is an action-puzzle game with elements of dungeon exploration. As you make your way through puzzle-based dungeons, you’ll collect Relics and battle bosses. You will be able to select up to 10 heroes in total with their own powers and face a friend in battle.
Shovel Knight: Pocket Dungeon was just one of the many indie games Nintendo featured during its Indie World presentation.
